Archera Partner Team, with CoreStack and ALIANDO
This week Archera announced its $15M Series C, led by Pivot Investment Partners. Funding news is usually about the company that raised it. We want to use this moment to talk about the partners who make the model work for Azure customers, and one partnership in particular.
The Savings Everyone Can See, and Nobody Buys
Ask any Azure FinOps team where they could save and they'll show you. Reserved Instances and Savings Plans can cut compute rates sharply against pay-as-you-go. The reports are clear. The purchase still stalls.
The reason is simple. A commitment is a promise about usage one to three years out, and very few teams can make that promise with confidence. Workloads move, projects get cut, and AI makes demand harder to predict every quarter. So companies commit cautiously, or not at all, and keep paying full price for flexibility.
Three Partners, One Motion
CoreStack, ALIANDO and Archera each solve one part of that problem.
CoreStack finds the opportunity. Its cloud governance and FinOps+ solutions give customers deep visibility into Azure spend, allocate costs, enforce policy continuously and flag rightsizing and commitment opportunities to optimize spend.
ALIANDO turns it into a plan. As a top 1% Microsoft Solutions Partner and Ingram Micro's largest Azure Expert MSP, ALIANDO works with more than 1,000 customers in 32 countries. Its FinOps practice sits with the customer, checks the recommendations against the business plan and agrees what to commit to.
Archera takes the risk. With Archera's Guaranteed Commitments, customers buy Azure Reserved Instances and Savings Plans in their own account. If usage falls below the commitment, Archera rebates the unused portion. It’s an insurance-backed guarantee, so the cost of a wrong forecast no longer sits with the customer.
What Changes for the Customer
- They commit with confidence. Coverage can go as high as usage supports, because the downside is covered.
- Nothing moves. Commitments stay in the customer's own Azure account and keep counting toward their Microsoft relationship.
- They keep the tools and partner they trust. CoreStack stays their cloud governance platform. ALIANDO stays their Microsoft partner. Archera adds the guarantee on top, with no rip and replace.
- They only pay when they save. Archera's platform is free, and a premium applies only when a commitment saves money.
Already Working in the Field
The three companies are already working together on live Azure accounts. One joint customer bought its commitments through a Microsoft Azure Marketplace private offer, with savings scenarios modelled on its own Azure usage before it signed. At Microsoft Ignite, the three partners are hosting an executive dinner for ALIANDO customers to share what they've learned.
What the Series C Means for Partners
Archera now manages about $5.6B in annual cloud spend across about 2,200 organizations and has delivered $700M+ in savings. The Series C tells partners that Archera, and the guarantee behind their customers’ commitments, is here for the long run. .
"We're thrilled to deepen our alliance with Archera to make CoreStack's FinOps+ available to our joint customers and partners. Our multi-cloud and AI governance solution combined with Archera’s rate optimization will be managed by ALIANDO across their customer's Azure accounts to deliver visibility, recommendations, and turn identified savings opportunities into recovered budget," said Ashish Saxena, Chief Growth Officer, CoreStack.
"ALIANDO has created the ultimate platform for managing cloud and AI costs with the Archera and CoreStack partnership. CoreStack gathers the data, ALIANDO creates the action plan, and Archera provides the path to safe reserved consumption for the cloud," said Chris Savage, CTO, ALIANDO.
