Yes, but that does sound like one huge patchwork!
It is patchwork! Everything in life is patchwork. Everything we do is patchwork, no matter how continuously we are trying to let it appear. I do not only acknowledge the patchwork, but I am committed to find, or assist you to find, just the right patches you need for your IT service business to keep your organisation’s patch level up to date.
… we do need a well structured approach!
Are you working in structuring? You may be. If you’re specialized in networking, then you probably are. If you’re an engineer, then you probable are as well. You do need an approach, that suits both your organisational structure and the structure of your business purpose. In our experience, quite a number of organisations suffer from overstructuring and sacrifice their flexibility to it. If you want help with finding the balance between IT service management structure and flexibility, then I will be glad to help out.
… we dealt with chaos before!
Chaos is everywhere! No matter how hard we try to argue or complain it away, it will still be there. Even more so, yesterday’s chaos is different from today’s chaos, and yesterdays methods may not prove capable of solving today’s problems. If you’re honest about adjusting your IT service management methods to cope with today’s chaos, I’ll be glad to assist you with.
… we need to do this like the big players!
I hope this will come true for you, if this is one of your visions. I myself however prefer to remain with smaller sized units, and even prefer to work with smaller sized units. Simply because I firmly believe that organisations have a size limit which will rapidly decrease their flexibility. Today’s markets do call for flexibility more than anything else. As specialist for agile environments and methods, I tribute my experience to business units, which want to retain their agility. If you’re sincere about this, and don’t know how to go about it, then you have just jumped to my interest.
Do you have any other obstacle which falls into this category? Please do feel free to ask me about it. Maybe it is a miss and should be listed here.
